This term, our Grade 3/4 students have begun exploring their new Inquiry topic, Forces. To introduce the unit, students investigated how different forces affect the movement of objects by conducting hands-on experiments. They explored what happened when they threw, kicked, and rolled a ball using both gentle and strong forces, observing how the amount of force changed the ball’s speed and distance.
Following their investigations, students applied their scientific thinking by writing detailed science experiment reports. They recorded their predictions, observations, and conclusions, using evidence from their experiments to explain their findings. Throughout the learning experience, students demonstrated curiosity, perseverance, and excellent scientific inquiry skills as they explored the fascinating world of forces.
